First Citizens Charitable Foundation

The First Citizens National Bank Charitable Foundation is a corporation established under the Iowa Non-Profit Corporation Act under Chapter 504(A) of the Code of Iowa (1995), and commenced existence on December 27, 1995.  The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.

The First Citizens National Bank Charitable Foundation was organized for distribution of funds to charitable, religious, educational, and healthcare institutions.  We give preference to requests that benefit the communities in which First Citizens National Bank serves.

Grant application forms are available on our web site or will be mailed upon request.  Only “hard copy” requests are considered and must be complete and comply with our forms. 

 The board meets to consider requests in June and November.

Charitable Foundation Contributions
In 2006-2007, the FCNB Charitable Foundation and bank made donations of over $450,000 to our North Iowa Communities.
