Department staff recently traveled to Des Moines, Iowa, to receive
three awards at the Iowa Bankers Association’s (IBA) Best of Iowa
competition. Best of Iowa is the state-wide advertising and marketing competition for members of the Iowa Bankers Association. The IBA sponsors the Best of Iowa Competition to give recognition to those bank marketers who are responsible for creating and executing successful marketing and advertising programs that enhance the image of their banks and contribute to profitability. First Citizens National Bank received a Gold Award in the “Multi-Media” category for their “We Make Change…Easy” entry in the $5,000 - $15,000 campaign budget section. They also won the Gold Award in the “Multi-Media” category for their “The Perfect Gift” campaign entry in the under $1,000 campaign budget section. The Gold Award is the highest award given in each category. Conference attendees get the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner for their favorite campaign visual design in two categories: advertising using an agency and advertising not using an agency. First Citizens National Bank won the People’s Choice Award for their “We Make Change… Easy” campaign in the without an agency category. “We are honored to have won these awards,” said Connie Anderson, Vice President of Marketing at First Citizens National Bank. “It is especially exciting to receive the People’s Choice Award.
