What browser should I use for Online Banking?
Any browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) is functional with our website. Internet Explorer is the browser First Citizens uses for internet banking functions.

I have Internet Explorer 9 on my computer and cannot access the Online Banking login.
IE 9 is a newer release and not compatible with some websites. Click the “Compatibility View” toolbar button to display the website as viewed in older versions of Internet Explorer. This will correct display problems for our website and will not affect any other sites you visit. To switch out of the compatibility view click on the toolbar button again.

I have a popup blocker on my computer. Will it interfere with Online Banking or BillPay?
Yes. If you have a popup blocker on your browser or within an add on toolbar you will need to set it to allow popups from our Online Banking site. You may need to reset your browser settings to accomplish this. Go to the Online & Mobile Banking page on our website to obtain step by step instructions for resetting your browser.

How do I access my statements in Online Banking?
On our website home page under Quick links select the Applications option. An application for eStatements is available for you to complete. Once submitted we will process your request and will shut your paper statements off. Statements will then be available to you in Online Banking under the eStatements tab.

How much transaction history is available to me in Online Banking?
Deposit account history will have a minimum of 60 days history available. Loan account history will have one year available. For eStatement users, 13 months of statements will be available under the eStatement tab.

With online banking, can I get text alerts?
Yes! Alerts can be delivered at no charge to an email address, mobile phone, or both. Delivery of these alerts can be set up by you to be delivered on certain days of the week or times of the day.

Alerts can help you stay on top of what is happening with your account -- giving you up to the minute information on what you need to know.

Available Alerts include:
Checking Accounts – Balance below, above, or equal to a certain amount. Use these alerts to help avoid Overdraft and NSF fees

Savings Accounts – Balance below, above, or equal to a certain amount

Loan Accounts – Balance below, above, or equal to a certain amount, Payments due or overdue

Transactions – Next deposit, Next withdrawal, Specific transaction by description, Transaction equal to, above, or below a certain amount

Check Status – Specific check has cleared

Certificate Maturity – Certificate of Deposit maturing in a certain number of days

Events – Account lockouts, Password change, Login locations. Great to know to help protect your account.

Need help remembering special events? Reminders are a great way to keep tabs on various events in your busy life. Dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, or other special events can be added as reminders!

To get started setting up alerts, log in to your Online Banking and select Account Alerts from the Accounts tab.
